"Bates Motel" actress Olivia Cooke debuted a dramatic new look at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego.

The 20-year-old English actress sported a shaved head as she appeared on the press line for Comic-Con on Friday. Cooke's hairless look comes as part of the transformation for her character Rachel in the upcoming film "Me & Earl & The Dying Girl," reports Entertainment Weekly.

The film, which release date has not yet been revealed, is based off of Jesse Andrews' novel of the same name. The book and film adaptation focuses on a high school senior's journey upon befriending Rachel, who is dying from cancer. In addition to Rachel, Earl is Greg's only other friend.

Cooke also sported a sheer button up along with black mini shorts from Paper London and pointed heels from Aldo while debuting her new look on the Comic-Con press line according to Just Jared.

A little over a month ago, Cooke alluded to going bald after she posted an Instagram photo of herself with a fake scalp cap.

However, Cooke stunned fans at Comic-Con when she decided to ditch the cap and actually go bald for the new film.

The Daily Mail suggests that Cooke's new look and transformation for the film may be what she needs to propel herself as a serious actress in Hollywood. Cooke is still a fairly new actress on the Hollywood scene, but given her various acting projects including "The Quiet Ones," "The Signal" and, of course, her most noted role as Emma Decody in "Bates Motel," Cooke is quickly starting to establish herself as the new "It" girl in Young Hollywood.

During her exclusive interview with The Latin Post for her movie "The Quiet Ones," Cooke also promoted her upcoming movie "Ouija" which comes out in October along with the new season of "Bates Motel," which begins filming in October as well.
