TVyNovelas Hot Bodies Issue: Julián Gil Missing Belly Button in Apparent Photoshop Error
It's not just women who are prone to being overly Photoshopped, as Julián Gil has probably just learned.
Gil was on the cover of the American version of TVyNovelas for the Hot Bodies issue. Although he was certainly a great pick for the cover, he is missing his belly button, notes La Opinion.
The actor has actually previously stood against being retouched in pictures because he didn't want fans to think he was altered in his images.
He responded to the TVyNovelas cover change.
"I have the original photos, and I have the magazine photos," Gil said on "El Gordo y la Flaca." "When I got the magazine, I saw that they were great photos. Then, I started receiving messages on social media asking why I didn't have a belly button."
And just in case that didn't set the record straight, he further elaborated.
"I take very good care of my body, and of course, I have a belly button," he added.
He said he's not losing much sleep about the images, but he doesn't want people to think that perhaps he's fat and they had to Photoshop abs onto him.
The interview showed video of the star at his photoshoot, where it's also obvious that he is in top shape.
Beauty queen and host Alejandra Espinoza explained that any number of things could have happened when the picture was being edited while her co-hosts resorted to joking that perhaps he was created in a lab, or that he should be happy that he didn't have multiple belly buttons on the images.
Other people have joined in on poking fun at the situation on social media.
One user said, "In serious news, please help us find @juliangil's belly button."
Even TVyNovelas USA shared someone's missing ad picture for Gil's belly button.
