LG G Pad 7.0 LTE Tablet 2014: AT&T Offers Special Deal for New Device; Release Date Slated for August 8
AT&T will be offering the new LG G Pad 7.0 LTE tablet for as low as $0.99 for customers also buying select LG phones starting Aug. 8. The lightweight tablet will be powered by Android 4.4 KitKat and will feature a 7-inch HD screen.
The 99-cent deal will require customers to buy either a LG G2, LG G3, or LG G Flex smartphone. Customers can also finance the tablet for $12.50 per month for 20 months with zero down and no service committment, but will require wireless service.
A two-year agreement will bring the price down to $149.99, but AT&T is definitely encouraging customers to take advantage of the phone/tablet deal and grab the tablet for just $0.99.
The LG G Pad 7.0 LTE will run on AT&T's LTE network and WiFi networks as well.
The Android tablet will feature a 1.2GHz processor and will include a 4000 mAh battery that will allow up to 10 hours of usage.
With the LG QPair feature, users will be able to pair their LG phone with the G Pad to answer phone calls, reply to messages and more.
Multitasking will be featured in the new G Pad, allowing for two windows to be opened at the same time. Users will also be able to drag content from one window to the other.
With Quickmemo, users will be able to add notes and memos to any screenshots or photos. Then, users will be able to store all of their memos in one location.
Two cameras will be included with the G Pad. The rear-facing 5 megapixel camera and a front-facing 1.3 MP camera will be featured.
To keep the G Pad secure, the Knock Code feature allows users to create a custom gesture to unlock their tablet to keep it from being used by an unwanted individual.
Any smartphone that runs Android 4.1 or higher will be compatible with the G Pad.
