After causing much speculation amongst fans, Drake clears up why he displayed the fiery image of on-and-off-again girlfriend Rihanna at OVO Fest in Canada on Monday.

While Drizzy was onstage to perform "Days in the East" in his hometown of Toronto, a red, flaming image of Rih blazed on the big screen behind him. The hellish backdrop was accompanied by three burning 6s, which is widely associated with the devil.

"Why am I the one you wanna get into it with for the drama? / I've got a lot to say, and that's the last thing a n-gga wanna hear right now," he rapped. "Waitin' on you to give in and hit me up / So I could fall through like old times and hit it up."

A couple of days later, the OVO founder took to his Twitter to shut down rumors that he was dissing Rihanna to his nearly 16 million followers on Twitter.

"My album title is VIEWS FROM THE 6. The 6 is Toronto," he wrote.

In other words, the projection of number 6 was just a reference to his upcoming fourth studio album, standing for Toronto's main area codes 416 and 647.

The "Started from the Bottom" hitmaker then added that he did not mean any harm but it was "all love."

"Rih is a great girl who I know is about to kill this tour with Eminem. It's all love," he tweeted.

Still, Drake did not really explain why he used Rihanna's image. It could be because the track is inspired by the Barbadian singer's love ballad "Stay" and samples the line "I threw my hands in the air, said show me somethin'."

Meanwhile, Drake scored a nomination for Best Hip-Hop Video with "Hold On (We're Going Home)" featuring his protégé Majid Jordan at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. He is currently on the 31-city "Drake vs. Lil Wayne" joint summer tour, which he will perform on Saturday night at The Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana.
