Writer and director Sam Esmail was spotted holding hands with his girlfriend Emmy Rossum on Friday as the two walked together across the set of "Shameless" in Los Angeles. The 27-year-old actress enjoyed some downtime from work as she wore a simple but beautiful white dress paired with white pointed-toe pumps by Christian Louboutin and a red handbag as well as a pair of retro-inspired sunglasses covering her eyes, Daily Mail reports.

Esmail, on the other hand, looked very casual wearing a simple T-shirt with jeans and sneakers. The two chatted as they strolled across the road while holding hands. They met each other in the recent romantic comedy film "Comet" where Emmy starred with Justin Long.

Earlier that day, the "Shameless" star was spotted wearing an outfit with a completely different feel from her angelic all-white ensemble, as she wore a fierce animal print dress for some scenes for the popular Showtime show.

The tight zebra dress was apparently for a wedding scene, although it was not very appropriate for the event as she also paired the dress with grey Converse tennis shoes, which she probably only wore behind the scenes. Another thing to note about Emmy is how she looked different with her lipstick-free smile on her fresh face.

Aside from her role as Fiona Gallagher, who is one of the six children of the alcoholic character of William H. Macy, Rossum is also busy with her the filming of the upcoming film "You're Not You." It will be about the complicated relationship between a terminally ill woman and a college student. She will be starring alongside Hilary Swank, Josh Duhamel, Marcia Gay Harden and Ali Larter in the film that is expected to be released sometime toward the end of this year.
