Belinda Instagram News 2014: Fans Sing 'Las Mañanitas' for Star's Birthday
Belinda fans lined up early to see the pop singer, but they were disappointed with what they got.
According to Diario Basta, the now 25-year-old singer arrived an hour late to the clothing store, where she was meeting her fans. She also hid her face behind giant sunglasses.
As Belinda celebrated her 25th birthday on Aug. 15, her fans sang "Las Mañanitas," which is a traditional birthday song among Latin culture. The singer, however, was not impressed. She didn't even turn around to look at the faces of the people who were singing to her.
She did say a few words in front of her fans and cameras.
"Thank you all for coming," she said. "It's a pleasure to be here with you. I love you very much. Thank you for the support and for this invitation."
It seems these words were not enough for those in attendance. Some believe that her behavior was because she was out partying the night before for her birthday.
"The girl behaved coldly, plus she was sleep deprived because last night was her birthday," a source said.
Belinda recently denied having tax problems, according to La Opinion.
"I haven't had a single problem," she said. "Everything is fine. Millions of things are published, but I have no problem. I'm very happy, working as always, thankfully traveling and very happy."
It was reported that she was facing jail time because of tax evasion, but the singer simply denied it.
She also sparked dating rumors when she was seen at the airport with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
He has previously expressed his attraction to the "I Love You... Te Quiero" singer.
"She sings beautifully and she is beautiful," he said in an interview with Hoy. "She's very talented, and she's pretty. In the future, you'll find out many things that we don't know. You can't say never. That only God knows. We'll see how that goes later."
