One actor that "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy hoped would appear in Season 4 will not be able to do so.

According to Digital Spy, Murphy had plans to put Leslie Jordan ("The Help," "Sordid Lives") in a four-episode story arc in the upcoming season, titled "Freak Show."

Jordan is already comfortable with the "American Horror Story" family as he appeared in three episodes during Season 3, "Coven." This time around, however, Jordan could not participate because of his obligation to "Celebrity Big Brother."

According to Jordan, Murphy wrote him a note expressing his understanding of the situation.

"I am a huge fan of yours Leslie, I understand the timing was off on this one, but I will always write you into future projects," the note said.

"When I read that note, I almost s**t and fell back in it," Jordan said of Murphy's message.

Jordan entered the "Celebrity Big Brother" house on Aug. 18.

Although Jordan will not be a part of the "Freak Show," those behind the show did recently succeed in securing Jyoti Amge, who the Guiness Book of Records and Limca Book of Records recognizes as the world's smallest woman at 2-foot-0.6, for the new season.

"Jessica and our newest cast member Jyoti Amge...the world's smallest women," Murphy announced via Twitter last week with a photo of "American Horror Story" actors Jessica Lange and Amge.

In addition, R&B icon Patti Labelle will appear for four episodes in Season 4. According to a TVLine "insider," the legendary singer will not be displaying her powerhouse singing abilities in any of the episodes.

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" premieres on FX on Oct. 8 at 10 pm. ET/PT. It takes place in 1950s Jupiter, Florida. Lange stars as a German woman managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.
