Gisele Bundchen & Anna Wintour Ice Bucket Challenge: Model Takes Part in Viral ALS Fundraising Challenge
Fashion icons Gisele Bündchen and Anna Wintour have officially joined the star-studded list of the viral Ice Bucket Challenge to donate money and awareness for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), or Lou Gehrig's Disease research.
Bündchen, who was recently listed as the world's highest-paid model for the eighth consecutive year on Forbes, poured ice water over her head -- dedicating it to her Uncle Milton and friend Charlene's mom, who "lost their fight to ALS."
The Brazilian captioned the Instagram video: "In their honor and all of the families that are affected by ALS, I'm donating money and also accepting the ice bucket challenge. #IceBucketChallenge Meu tio Milton e a mãe da minha querida amiga Charlene perderam a lute."
The Victoria's Secret Angel then nominated Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, renowned Peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino and fellow Latin mogul Shakira. Wintour was also challenged by her own daughter Bee Shaffer.
Surprisingly, the boss of the fashion Bible got her famous bob drenched in ice water. "I, Anna Wintour, with my family, accept my daughter Bee's ice bucket challenge," she said in the video posted on Vogue website as well as Shaffer's Instagram account. After completing her challenge, she nominated tennis champion Roger Federer and English actor Dominic West. "Roger and Dominic, you have 24 hours," she added.
Bündchen's other nominee, Shakira, also got soaked in the name of the trending charity. "I want to challenge Chris Martin and Pope Francis," she said before her pro soccer player partner Gerard Piqué dumped ice water over her head.
"ALSIceBucketchallenge CC: @3gerardpique @giseleofficial #PopeFrancis @coldplay #ChrisMartin," the "Can't Remember to Forget You" singer captioned the clip on Instagram.
