'FIFA 15' Video Game Beta Goes Live: Select Fan Group Receive Invites through Origin Email Accounts, EA Sports Announces
The "FIFA 15" video game went live on Aug. 21, High Def Digest reports. Ten days ago, invites to "FIFA 15" for Xbox One and Xbox 360 were sent out to Origin email accounts.
The invites were sent out to just a select fan group.
On Aug. 21, EA also stated that those fans that were sent the invites for the game's beta would be receiving another email.
The follow-up emails were timed to coincide with the launch of the closed beta and gave access to those that were invited. The beta invites went out for Season, Clubs and Ultimate Team modes of FIFA.
Those initial invites were limited to a specific mode on a particular console and not transferrable. There were many fans that did not even realize they were in beta. There were also those that have checked but have not received an invite yet. This means that they will have to wait until the demo of the game is released.
Gamers have been waiting for the closed beta for "FIFA 15" and thought that it would come out in a few more weeks but were suddenly greeted by the good news that the game was going live.
In a statement released by Rob Hodson, EA Sports' Community Manager, he said that the invites were already sent through email and added that if the recipient had changed consoles, he could not do anything about it. The statement also specified that it is not possible to stream, record, or show off the "FIFA 15" closed beta.
The Daily Mail reported that Argentine Lionel Messi of Barcelona and Belgian Eden Hazard of Chelsea will be on the cover of the game's sleeve.
While there is still some waiting time before "FIFA 15" is released, that period is getting shorter. In North America, it will be released on Sept. 23. It will be available in Europe on Sept. 25 and in the United Kingdom on Sept. 26. It will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii.
