Hartford, Conn., Mayor Pedro Segarra has some words of advice for comedian Dave Chappelle: quit whining.

Segarra tweeted yesterday that Chappelle should "quit whining, do his job and try some yoga," as a way to get over his heckling incident in Hartford last week. The "Chappelle's Show" star walked off stage on Aug. 29 after being heckled at the Funny or Die Presents The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival.

According to WTNH, after some boos and yelling from the Hartford audience, the 40-year-old comedian stopped telling jokes, spent several minutes smoking a cigarette on stage and then walked off. At a Chicago stand-up on Tuesday, Chappelle praised the audience for being "so much better than Hartford."

"I don't want anything bad to happen to the United States," Chappelle said. "But if North Korea ever drops a nuclear bomb on this country, I swear to God I hope it lands in Hartford, Connecticut." According to USA Today, he proceeded to label the Hartford crowd as "young white alcoholics" and said he wanted to "pull a 'reverse Kramer.'" This is referring to when comedian and former "Seinfeld" star Michael Richards went off an n-word laden rant on stage in 2006.

Mayor Segarra said Chappelle's comments on Hartford were "immature and innapropriate," USA Today reports.

"Dave Chappelle should stick to his job, give the fans what they paid for and not disparage the good people of Hartford," Segarra said in a statement.

This isn't the first time Chapelle has left a comedy act. He left Comedy Central's "Chappelle's Show" in the middle of its third season in 2005, leaving behind a big contract.
