One of the Wiz Khalifa's shows ended in tragedy when a man was shot at the concert venue of his San Jose show. Because of the shooting, Khalifa has canceled his next show in San Diego.

Ticketmaster and Wiz Khalifa confirmed that the concert in Chula Vista, California, near San Diego, has been canceled, according to TMZ. The event ticket distributor did not give an explanation for the cancellation.

"Due to a situation out of our control, tonight's UTIOM show is canceled. This was a senseless tragedy. Violence is never the answer. My prayers go out to the victim's family," Wiz Khalifa said in a statement, even though Khalifa is not connected to the incident, TMZ reported.

According to the San Jose Mercury News, a 38-year-old man was shot multiple times outside the Shoreline Amphitheatre soon after the Wiz Khalifa concert ended. Police received a call a little after 11 p.m. reporting multiple gunshots in the area, Mountain View Police spokeswoman Shino Tanaka said.

"We do not know how the victim was associated with the concert," Tanaka said. "That is part of our ongoing investigation."

The man was taken to a local hospital where he died soon after, explains the Mercury News, and police have not released his identity but friends and relatives have identified him as Eric Johnson from Oakland.

Police are currently looking for the suspect, who fled the scene after the shooting, according to NBC Bay Area. The man has been described to be in his 20s and is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8. Witnesses say he was wearing white pants, black top and a red baseball cap, and he fired a black pistol with a large magazine.

The shooting happened at the end of the concert part of Khalifa's Under the Influence of Music Tour. According to NBC Bay Area, the police are looking for witnesses and anyone with video or photos of the shooting or leading up to the shooting. Anyone with information may contact (650) 903-6395.
