"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is only 12 weeks away from its U.S. premiere Nov. 22, and Lionsgate is starting to provide some promotional teasers for fans.

The latest is the release of Coldplay's original "Catching Fire" soundtrack single, "Atlas." The song is a flowing, melancholy mid-tempo tune which is pretty much perfect for Katniss Everdeen's heroic post-apocalyptic tale. In other words, the song is very "Coldplay." According to MTV, the single marks the first time the British rock band has recorded an original song for a film.

One lyric in particular, "Caught in the fire, say oh/We're about to explode," relates to the film's title, which is the second movie adaptation. The song is available for download on iTunes. Coldplay has won numerous music awards since the release of "Yellow" in 2000, which is considered their first worldwide hit. The band has won five MTV Video Music Awards and seven Grammys. "Atlas" will presumably be an Oscar contender for Best Original Song.

In other "Catching Fire" news, Lionsgate has set the on-sale date to purchase advanced tickets, MTV writes. Tickets will be available on Fandango and MovieTickets.com Oct. 1 at 12 p.m. ET.

"Catching Fire" is based on the second book in Suzanne Collins's young adult science fiction trilogy. Two more installments are planned that will be based off of "Mockingjay," the final book in the series. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I" hits theaters Nov. 21, 2014, and the final installment is set to be released Nov. 20, 2015.

Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson and Donald Sutherland have reprised their roles for "Catching Fire." New additions to the all-star cast include Lenny Kravtiz, Stanley Tucci, Jeffrey Wright, Jena Malone and Sam Claflin.
