Flamboyant NBA hall of famer Dennis Rodman had plenty to say about his five-day adventure in North Korea with his "friend," North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

"Just returned from North Korea. HUGE announcement tomorrow morning in NYC," Rodman said through Twitter on Sunday. On Monday morning Rodman followed up by reiterating that an announcement is coming up from New York City.

"Excited to be making a HUGE announcement today in New York City with @PaddyPower Stay tuned... #BasketballDiplomacy"

As the relationship between the United States and North Korea remains sour -- as it has been for years -- the relationship between North Korea and Rodman continues to shine in the public spotlight. Rodman said in an interview with The Guardian that he "had a relaxing time by the sea with (Jong Un's) family," He said the North Korean dictator is a "good dad" to his baby daughter, Ju-ae.

"We shared many meals and drinks where we discussed our plans to play a historic friendship basketball game between North Korea and the US as well as ways to develop their basketball team," Rodman said.

Considering the discussions Rodman had about a basketball game between the U.S. and North Korea, it wouldn't be surprising to see Rodman make an announcement about a possible game or tournament in the near future. It is unclear where the games would take place or when. Basketball season is just around the corner in the United States, with the NBA season starting in late October.

"Kim is a great guy, he loves basketball, and he's interested in building trust and understanding through sport and cultural exchanges," Rodman said. "I know in time Americans will see I'm just trying to help us all get along and see eye to eye through basketball and with my friendship with Kim I know this will happen."
