ABC 'Dancing With the Stars' 2014 Cast: Several TV Stars, Olympian Rumored to Be Joining Season 19 of DWTS
Although the official list of celebrity contestants competing in Season 19 of "Dancing With the Stars" will not be announced until September, various celebrity names have snuck up on the list of likely contestants.
According to an unnamed source, "Dancing With the Stars" will have a "Duck Dynasty" influence. Us Weekly reports to have "confirmed" Sadie Robertson's competing for the mirrorball trophy in the upcoming season.
In May, Korie Robertson, Sadie's mother, said that Sadie has wanted to be on the dancing competition show for a long time, although she did not explicitly state that Sadie would appear on the show.
"I think that our kids are really natural in front of the camera and they have fun with it," Korie told the magazine. "Sadie, I think, wants to maybe be on a talk show, and she wants to be on 'Dancing with the Stars!'"
In addition, Antonio Sabato Jr. is rumored to be a contestant, E! News reports. The "General Hospital" actor has made a name for himself as an underwear model for Calvin Klein.
The website also said that a source "exclusively" revealed that Janel Parrish will compete in Season 19. Parrish gained fame as Mona in ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars."
Finally, there may be an opportunity for history to repeat itself with another Olympian winner as Lolo Jones, Olympian bobsledder and track runner, is rumored to be joining the show.
"Dancing With the Stars" has not commented on the rumors. The official roster will be revealed on the Sept. 4 episode of "Good Morning America." Season 19 premieres on Sept. 15.
Last week, it was announced that former competing professional dancer Julianne Hough would be the show's fourth judge.
"My role is to encourage and be supportive, and to also be candid and honest and try not to beat around the bush, to be too politically correct," she told People magazine. "I want to give critiques so they can improve. I'm not there to be harsh or cause a controversy. I won't be mean or malicious. That's not who I am. That's not my role at all."
