The first week of September will be a very busy time for tech manufacturers and will be equally exciting for consumers, especially with how fast-paced technology has been evolving over the recent years. Sony is up for its release of the next Xperia Devices, and it is taking its chance to be under the limelight, as the company will be hosting an event on Sept. 3, just before the IFA 2014.

It's going to be big day since Samsung is also planning to announce the highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 4 in an event to be held on the same day, according to Know Your Mobile. Prior to the upcoming launch, Sony wants to keep the interest of the public and has released a teaser featuring the silhouette of three gadgets and the "3" shown in many different ways.

While unconfirmed, the three devices are speculated to be the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and the Xperia Z3 Compact. The Xperia Z3 is said to have very similar features to its predecessor but with higher specifications, including a brighter 5.2-inch triluminos display with a better contrast ratio.

NDTV Gadgets reports that the smartphone will be IP68 certified and new software could make its battery life last up to two days on a single charge. On the other hand, the Xperia Z3 Compact should be having pretty much identical specifications to the Z3 but will have a smaller display of 4.7 inches with a 720 x 1,280 resolution. It would also have the same IP68 certification and battery enhancements.

Finally, Sony will also be presenting what is expected to be the thinnest and lightest waterproof tablet, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. It will have the same RAM and processing capabilities of a smartphone but an 8-inch display at a 1,080 x 1,920 resolution. The tablet would be just 6.3mm thin.

Sony looks like it has a very promising line-up for the upcoming trade show for consumer electronics.
