George Zimmerman found himself involved with police yet again yesterday after his estranged wife, Shellie, called the police and said he was threatening to shoot her after he allegedly punched her father in the face.

The controversial Zimmerman, who was recently acquitted in the nationally publicized murder trial after killing Trayvon Martin, said he was acting in a "defensive manner" yesterday when police asked him what happened with his wife.

Zimmerman was handcuffed and taken into custody but was released without being charged.

"I don't know what he's capable of," she said to the 911 dispatcher after saying that "he continually has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying step closer and he is just threatening all of us." The dispatcher asked her to clarify what her husband would do if she stepped closer. "He is going to shoot us," she responded.

Shellie Zimmerman then proceeded to tell the operator more details about the events that unfolded at the couple's home.

"He punched my dad on the nose. My dad has a mark on his face. I saw his glasses were on the floor. He accosted my father and then took my iPad out of my hand and smashed it and cut it with a pocket knife."

Although no charges were brought against anyone after the incident, the authorities will be reviewing the footage from the house's security cameras to determine whether charges will be necessary.

Just days ago, Shellie Zimmerman told ABC News that her husband has been "selfish" and that he has felt "invincible" ever since he was found not guilty in the murder trial.

"I think I'm realizing that I have been married to a person for almost seven years, and I don't think that I ever really knew him at all," she said in the interview.
