Destiny Beta & Release Date: Bungie Multiplayer Universe Coming to Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3 [Video]
In a few days, the "Destiny" video game will be launched. The target date, according to ExpertReviews, will be on Sept. 9. Its live beta test ended on July 27.
The online multi-player first person shooter game will be released on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Although some retailers might sell copies of the game in advance, the game's design will not allow gamers to play the game until the servers are finally up and running.
Bungie, the creator of "Destiny," said that the game's universe will be alive, meaning that events might happen within the game that are not necessarily planned or controlled by the game developer. This makes for a dynamic experience for gamers. According to Bungie, "Destiny" is not a traditional MMO game because players will not be able to interact and see all other players in one particular server. Instead, players will only be able to interact with and see other players that the game has found to match with them.
Based on the report released by Bungie about the beta version, it was a huge success. About 4.6 million people played the beta game. They also created 6.5 million Guardians.
During the last day of their event at Comic-Con, there were still 853,235 people playing the beta game simultaneously. It was noted that about 20 percent of the playing time was spent by gamers in The Tower. Experts that have played the game said that it has a good balance of weapons.
Fans of the game must note that the progress they have made in the beta will not be carried over to the final game version. The millions of guardians that gamers have created will be wiped out and gamers will have to start from scratch once again when the final version of the game launches. In the meantime, Bungie has released several trailers for the launch.
