Soon Apple fans will be able to gaze their eyes upon the technology company's new devices. It is almost certain that Apple will unveil its new iPhone 6 and "iWatch" on Sept. 9, according to various sources.

Time reports that Apple will be unveiling two new iPhones and the fabled smartwatch in an event on Sept. 9. The smartwatch has been dubbed "iWatch," though Apple has not announced a name for the device.

Time cites a New York Times report that claims the California-based tech company will release the new devices next week, though Apple has not officially announced the launch. The devices expected to be launched are two new iPhones, dubbed "iPhone 6" though the name is not official and the "iWatch."

The two new phones would come in two different sizes: 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. The bigger model will have a one-handed typing feature and both will feature Near-Field Communication (NFC) that will allow mobile payment.

The "iWatch" will be aimed more towards the fitness crowd, featuring footstep and heart-rate monitors as well as stronger "sapphire glass." The device will also use programs like Apple's Healthkit software and Handoff, which allows a user to switch from one Apple device to another easily.

The rumors of the launching of these new devices have spurred Apple fans to anxiously line up outside the company's flagship store in New York City, according to CNBC. Apple had apparently sent some invitations to an event, writing: "9.9. 2014 Wish we could say more."

CNBC also reports that orders have already been placed for the new iPhone even though its release has not been officially announced. Some have been preordering the phone from third-party sellers that strive to obtain the phone as soon as it launches.

According to Venture Beat, the new iPhones will feature NFC software that will allow users to make payments from the phone. Apple has partnered with Visa, Mastercard and American Express to make this possible.

However, NFC technology will also facilitate synching with other wireless devices, like Beats headphones, as well as share files with other iPhone 6 users. Yet, NFC software will not be compatible with older iPhones.
