The celebrity contestants for Season 19 of "Dancing With the Stars" are getting ready for the competition, but some are more confident than others.

This season, "Pretty Little Liars" actress Janel Parrish is partners with Val Chmerkovskiy. In an interview with Us Weekly, the 25-year-old star said she likes Chmerkovskiy's teaching style.

"We feel pretty confident," she said. "We're a good team, and I got a great coach. I like the way he teaches. Sometimes I'll get frustrated when I feel like I'm a little bit overwhelmed, but that's just me wanting to get things right."

Chmerkovskiy shared his plan to make Parrish shine.

"I want to start off strong," he said. "You know, you don't get a second chance to make a first impression, and people have really high expectations for Janel, obviously, so I want to exceed those expectations."

When it comes to the competition, Parrish and Chmerkovskiy have their eyes on team Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd.

"Tommy Chong has some moves," Parrish said.

"Tommy Chong's got the illest hip action I've ever seen, for sure," Chmerkovskiy said.

Meanwhile, Olympic bobsledder and track runner Lolo Jones isn't too sure she's got the right moves yet. When USA Today asked her if she can dance, she responded with "absolutely not."

"My only dance experience is the high school prom," she said. "The slow dance, it literally lasted like 30 seconds. I guess I was so bad that the guy stopped dancing with me."

Jones, 32, is partners with newcomer Keo Motsepe this season.

"I've been traumatized ever since," Jones told The Associated Press of her high school prom. "This will be my chance to make up for that -- in front of a whole bunch of people, too. ... They [bobsledding team] are the ones that encouraged me to take the year off. They knew about this opportunity, said it would be good for me to have fun."

In addition, fashion designer Betsey Johnson is already rousing her partner, Tony Dovolani.

"What's great about Betsey is she's so inspiring in every way," Dovolani told People magazine. "To be 72, and to do what she does, is so inspiring."

Johnson confirmed that she will be herself by dressing in her own style.

"Think I'm going to wear one of the those backless diamond fringe outfits?" she said. "No, I'm going to keep it very real."

Fans can also keep their eyes peeled for Johnson's signature cartwheel, which she does at the end of all of her fashion shows.

"I know I won't screw that up," Johnson said.

"Dancing With the Stars" premieres on Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
