Minecraft for the Xbox One was released on Friday following weeks of rumors and cryptic tweets from half of the game's development team, 4J Studios.

Reviews of the Xbox One version of Minecraft say that it's right in line with previous versions of the wildly popular sandbox game, but that it has numerous tweaks that make the game more enjoyable for players, according to the International Business Times. The PlayStation 4 version of the game also came out last week.

Some of those tweaks include easy menu navigation, intuitive controls, tutorial pop ins, easy online multiplayer, achievements and better add ons.

Microsoft's blog claims that the Xbox One version of Minecraft is "the ultimate expression of the world's greatest open-world creativity and survival sim," and "the perfect reason to make the jump to Xbox One."

Menu navigation has been improved by a simplification of crafting tables and building tools. They've been given a tabbed interface that makes it easier for players to see what can be built with the supplies on hand.

Minecraft developers and Microsoft have made the game's controls more intuitive with controls transferred to the Xbox One gamepad in a logical manner. Reviews say that this should make it easier for new players to become immersed in the block-building world that is Minecraft.

Also helping assimilate new players are tutorial pop ins that show up periodically throughout the game to give relevant information to users, depending on what they happen to be doing at that time.

Sharing online worlds built in the game is now easier than ever. All players have to do is check a single box in the options menu to make the created world online ready. Settings can be adjusted to make the world available to all users or to friends only.

Microsoft has also made a long list of achievements that players can unlock during gameplay, providing goals for Minecraft users.

For players that spent a lot of time creating worlds on the Xbox 360, Microsoft allows users to transfer data from that version of Minecraft to the Xbox One and then pay $4.99 for the latest version of the game.
