Since giving birth to her first child back in April, "Scandal" star Kerry Washington is finally opening up about motherhood and her baby girl, Isabelle.

"My little girl is four months! She's fantastic," Washington told E! News on the 2014 Emmy's red carpet.  "She's great. She's awesome!"

Washington - who is known to keep personal life very private - has posted no photos of Isabelle, however she and her fellow "Scandal" co-stars have been very candid when it comes to talking about Washington's new bundle of joy.

"I feel really blessed," Washington told fans during a Los Angeles Times Live Chat. "I know how extraordinary my life is right now, and how the opportunities I have are, so I'm very, very, very grateful. I just feel really blessed that I'm kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life."

Washington's "Scandal" co-stars Tony Goldwyn and Bellamy Young echoed Washington's excitement and praised her daughter Isabelle during an interview with E! News.

"Yes I have met the delectable Isabelle," Goldwyn told E! News on the 2014 Creative Arts Emmys red carpet. "Her DNA is really good and she's just the cutest."

Young compared Washington's daughter to Buddha and also added, "You hold that baby and it calms you down. There is nothing annoying about that presence."

Goldwyn continued his praise by acknowledging what he describes as the "awesome" nature of Kerry Washington now that she's become a mother.

"[Motherhood] has just made her more awesome than she was to begin with," he said. "She's just so happy all the time as it does when you have a baby. It's a magical time."

Prior to giving birth, Washington admitted there were challenges she faced when attempting to hide her pregnancy on-screen during "Scandal" filming. Thanks to the wardrobe and camera crew, Washington was able to mask her pregnancy on television. [BET]

"I work very physically as an actor. The biggest thing for me has been the challenge of how to be this person [Olivia Pope] with the personal transformation that's going on for me physically and how to stay true to this character," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "That hasn't been easy. It's been an awesome challenge for me as an actor because so much of how I access character is through my body. It's definitely been complicated to say the least. I've learned a lot about other ways to access Olivia and be her."
