Usher delays the release date of his highly anticipated upcoming eighth studio album "UR."

"The album isn't scheduled anymore. I've basically taken it back. I'm taking my time with it," he told Billboard about the project that was originally scheduled to drop this year. "At the end of the day, all of this is just about having fun. You get in the studio [and] go with how you feel."

The "She Came to Give It to You" singer then claimed that his new album is set to feature various musical guests, including Pharrell Williams, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran, Diplo, Skrillex, Jermaine Dupri and Pop & Oak.

Ush also revealed that Chris Brown, who recently featured him on his latest single "New Flame" off his forthcoming album "X," will be featured in "UR" as well. "There is another record that we worked on for the album," he said. "The relationship is great... we've been able to build."

Mr. Raymond had to delay his album release, due to his busy schedule, appearing on "The Voice" and filming the Sugar Ray Leonard biopic "Hands of Stone," in which he plays the legendary boxer. However, there has been progress. "It's not about a specific topic or specific period of my life. I work on 40-50 songs in making an album," he said. "I haven't finished the album enough to tell you what I'm talking about."

"It was just a different take. It's something that feels very modern, but the vocal on it feels very specific to my style," he added. "I wanted to do something that I felt like would be current, but wouldn't necessarily conform specifically."

Usher is currently preparing to kick off his 27-city "The UR Experience" tour in Montreal, Quebec on Nov. 1, and newcomer August Alsina will open the shows. "I always thought of that opening spot as the place for the person that I can give an experience they haven't had before, to mentor them through," said the "Good Kisser" singer.
