A 25-year-old woman has married the man of her dreams.

Lauren Adkins, of Las Vegas, has married a cardboard cutout of Robert Pattinson, according to the Daily Mirror.

"People might think I'm crazy but my flat-pack R-Patz is the closest I'll get to the real thing and he's the one for me," she said. "A friend who thought I was going mad said one night: 'If you love him so much, why don't you marry him?' Her words rang in my ears. She was right. Why didn't I?"

Adkins always hoped to meet the man of her dreams at prom, but it didn't work out. She also wasn't having much luck during college, which is when the books came out. Adkins explained that she became obsessed with the character, who "was as likely to suck your blood as open the door for you."

She also thought Pattinson was sexy.

At a record store, she saw a 6-foot-tall cardboard cutout of Pattinson in a suit. She grabbed him and handed the cashier $20.

"Then, cramming him into my car I headed back to my apartment where I ripped off his cellophane and stood him at the foot of my bed," she said. "For the rest of the night I couldn't take my eyes off him."

She decided to take cardboard cutout Pattinson with her to places.

After her friend basically dared her to marry Pattinson, she looked for a chapel. Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel.

"I walked down the aisle in January in the white wedding dress I've always dreamt of," she said. "I held the reception at an art gallery and ordered champagne and a five-tier cake to share with my 50 guests."

The ceremony cost her $3,200.

For their honeymoon, the two went to Los Angeles, where they went to the Hollywood sign. It had to be done at night, she said, because he can't get any sun.
