'The Originals' Season 2 Spoilers: Klaus and Elijah Will Engage in Serious 'Confrontations' With Their Father
There will be lots of family drama in the Mikaelson clan when Season 2 of "The Originals" premieres on The CW this fall.
During an interview with E!, actor Sebastian Roche warned that his character Mikael Mikaelson will stir up lots of trouble for his sons Klaus and Elijah in the new season.
"It's very exciting especially because the first five episodes are pretty intense. It's going to be quite epic. It's going to be an epic season, there's no question about it. We're in for quite a treat. It's going to be antagonistic, crazy, gothic, and we're in store for some amazing confrontations between Mikael and his sons," he said.
The official synopsis for Season 2 also dropped a few spoilers about Mikael's surprise return from the dead.
"Though their father, Mikael (guest star Sebastian Roché), is controlled by Davina's magic, he remains ever-intent on killing Klaus -- even if he has to go through Davina to do it," it reads, according to Hypable.com.
However, in addition to their wicked father, the brothers will also have to deal with their sinister mother, Esther, played by guest star Alice Evans, who will devise "a disturbing plan to reunite her fractured family -- a plan that involves untold torment not only for the Original siblings, but for any and all of their loved ones," reads the synopsis.
Fans will also see a new "defensive" and "angry" side of Hayley as she copes with her new transition into a hybrid and wonders "if [Elijah's] ability to look down on vampires translates to her," revealed executive producer Michael Narducci to TVLine. "Hayley's new status will force them to have some interesting conversations about what this means for their future." Plus, Elijah's "decision on what to do to help her is going to be a bit surprising."
The synopsis goes on to reveal that Klaus and Hayley will do all that it takes to get their daughter back.
"Season two finds our heroes adjusting to a new status quo, with the newly empowered werewolves controlling the city and a myriad of unknown threats lurking. Though Klaus and Hayley have vowed to scorch the earth in order to make New Orleans a safe home for their daughter, Hope, they also have inner demons to battle."
However, in addition to dealing with feelings of depression due to the loss of her child, Hayley will also have to cope with her new "crippling rage" now that she's a hybrid.
In the meantime, Klaus, will find "himself regularly weakened as the werewolves use the moonlight rings forged in his blood," while his brother Elijah will go on the hunt to kill Francesca, played by guest star Peta Sergeant, and "her traitorous werewolves."
Cami will deal with the chaos in New Orleans by getting focused on her studies and pursuing her own passions in life.
Season 2 of "The Originals" will premiere on Monday, Oct. 6, on The CW.
