GTA 5 for Xbox One/PS4/PC Release Date: Pre-Order Information; PS3/Xbox 360 Owners Can Transfer Online Accounts & Characters [Trailer]
The highly popular Grand Theft Auto V by Rockstar Games is finally coming to the latest generation of consoles and PC. The game will become available on Nov.18 for both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, just in time for the holidays, according to Forbes. PC owners will have to wait a little longer with a Jan. 27, 2015, release date. Grand Theft Auto V was originally released on Sept. 17, 2013, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and the announcement that it will be rereleased for the new-gen platforms was made this summer at the E3 convention.
This new version of the game will come with features that include a range of major visual and technical upgrades, according to the developer. Gamers can also expect a new system for the foliage and weather effects, denser traffic, enhanced effects for the damage inflicted, higher draw distances and many other improvements. There will also be new weapons, activities, wildlife, and vehicles as well.
The radio system is also getting an upgrade, with more than 100 new songs and DJ mixes featured over the 17 radio stations of the game. Players will appreciate this because the radio station system is a unique feature of the game that contributes through funny and witty moments taking place on the air.
Players from the earlier consoles will not be left behind as their existing Grand Theft Auto Online accounts and characters can be transferred to the new platforms. Moreover, those who pre-order the game will be enjoying an in-game cash bonus amounting to $1,000,000.
Since its release in early September of last year, Grand Theft Auto V has sold 33 million copies and made $800 million, making it one of the most popular contemporary games. A brand new trailer is also available for viewing on Rockstar Games' official website.
