Now that Khloé Kardashian is single again, estranged husband Lamar Odom is reportedly beyond "happy," hoping to reconcile with her.

When asked if the former NBA basketball player is happy about the reality star's recent split with the Moroccan emcee, an insider told HollywoodLife.com: "Most definitely. It makes it that much easier for him to get back with her and be her husband. He wasn't too fond of that rapper anyway and he thought he was a sucker -- Khloé's rebound man."

Also, Odom apparently knew all along that the couple's highly publicized relationship was not going to last. "Real love always wins in the end. He knew that wasn't going to last," the insider added. "French was there so she could get her mind off Lamar. We all know that. He did his job, played the role he was supposed to play and now he's gone. Just like that."

However, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" matriarch Kris Jenner, who is not so fond of Lamar Odom, is worried that her daughter will eventually get back with him. "Kris is worried sick that Khloé will take Lamar back now that she's done with French," another source revealed. "Kris thinks Khloé is very vulnerable right now and the last thing she needs to do is jump back into a relationship with Lamar. Kris always feared this would happen because she knew, as Khloé's mother, that her daughter wasn't over Lamar. Call it a mother's instinct."

"Kris feels that Khloe needs to stay single and just heal, something she never really did because she got so hot and heavy with French Montana, which Kris thinks was a total distraction," the source continued. "She always liked French but knew it was a rebound relationship that wouldn't last, which is of course something Khloé never wanted to believe for herself until now."
