A Utah dad sported a pair of short shorts in order to teach his daughter a lesson about modesty on Aug. 27. Since then, the photo of Scott Mackintosh has gone viral, with thousands of Internet users checking out the father in his daisy dukes.

When the Mackintosh family was preparing for a night out, Scott's wife asked their daughter, Myley, to change out of her revealing shorts. When she refused, Scott altered a pair of his own jeans, using scissors to create a pair of booty shorts with the power to make his daughter cringe. The shorts were cut above the pocket, and to complete the outfit Scott wore a shirt which read "Best. Dad. Ever."

Myley uploaded a photo of her father onto hur Tumblr page.

"My mom told me to change my 'slutty' shorts before we went to dinner. I said no. So my dad cut his jeans to fit in. We went to dinner and then mini golf like this," the caption read.

"I heard my wife ask our daughter if she would please change into some longer shorts before leaving," Scott wrote on his wife's blog, Becky Mack's Blog of Mild Chaos. "She said 'NO!' Instead of turning her response and disrespectful attitude into a major battle, I decided to make a 'small' statement on how her short-shorts maybe aren't as 'cute' as she thinks!"

According to Scott, his stunt was outshined by his children's cell phone for a while. Eventually, Myley caught sight of the daisy dukes.

"My daughter then gave her disgusted look and said, 'Why are you dressed like that?' followed by 'Oh well, I don't care," Scott wrote.

At the end of dinner, Scott's daughter still did not seem to care, so he brought the family miniature golfing.

People around Scott pointed and stared. Myley still did not respond. She did, however, keep her distance form Scott. Next, a couple of girls on the golf course pretended to take a picture of the scantily clad dad.

"My daughter then being bold said, 'If you want a picture of him, just ask, I am sure he won't mind,'" Scott said on his wife's blog. "They were embarrassed and continued to act like that wasn't what they were doing."

Scott finally got the attention he wanted from his daughter when they stopped at a local spot for milk shakes.

"'Uh, no! We are NOT going in!' I said "Sure we are, let's go!'" Scott blogged. "'No!' She said, 'Let's go through the drive up.' We went in, but she stayed in the car. She had had enough and did not want to go through any further embarrassment."

Hopefully, Scott will not have to repeat the stunt anytime soon.

She's dressed a little bit better since then," Scott said in an interview with Salt Lake City's KSL. "Yeah, she has."
