Assassin's Creed Rogue Gameplay & Release Date on Xbox One, PS3: No Xbox One, PS4 Version Expected
"Assassins Creed Rogue" will debut Nov. 11 on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. This game will not be available on the next-gen systems but it will still be a great game with some great visuals. Let's take a look further at "Rogue."
In this game, characters are going to try to assassinate you. In past games, you were the assassin. Now, you are a templar trying to remove the French from power.
You will not have the strict assassins' rules that you are used to in previous games, templars do not follow many rules.
"You can use sleep grenades or berzerk grenades on animals and citizens. This is the templar's way. You're not following the creed any more, so you don't get this message when you kill civilians saying 'Your ancestors didn't kill civilians.' You can do it. The templar approach is very much the ends justify the means," Martin Capel, the game's creator told Polygon.
Do not get used to the old style of "Assassins Creed." In this version, the assassins are after you, and they are much harder to kill and avoid.
"The assassins are really strong in combat; they'll use smoke, they'll use pistols, they'll shoot at powder kegs in the environment, they'll try to hide and, if they hit you, they do a lot of damage. They're the toughest of the characters you'll face," Capel added.
So, here is your chance to play as a Templar (finally).
"This is something we've thought about all the way since AC1 [the first Assassins Creed]. What would it be like to play as a Templar?" Associate Producer Karl Von Der Luhe said in a Uplay interview. "We think it's really powerful, both in gameplay and storyline [and] premise. Shay Patrick Cormac will go through a very emotional journey from being an Assassin to being a fully-fledged Templar, and we want the player to go through a similar journey."
