On Tuesday, John Stamos tweeted a loving Instagram message in honor of his mother, Loretta Phillips Stamos who died at the age of 75 on Monday, ABC reports.

"The love of my life passed away yesterday in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren," Stamos captioned an old photo of his mother holding him as a baby.

He continued, "My mother had enough love to fuel a small country. She was truly one of a kind and will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her. A few weeks ago, I asked my mom if she remembered an inconsequential event - she simply replied, 'I only remember the love.' #Brokenhearted #Iloveyouthemost"

Stamos then concluded his heartfelt message by urging his 485,000 plus Instagram fans and followers to donate to the Vanguard Cancer Foundation that was founded by his mother.

"If inclined please donate to the charity, founded by my mother- The Vanguard Cancer Foundation . https://www.vanguardcancerfoundation.org/donate/ ," Stamos concluded his message.

According to People, Loretta founded the Vanguard Cancer Foundation in honor of her brother, Jake who suffered from cancer.

"Thirteen years ago, I held my brother's hand as a doctor told him that his cancer was untreatable," Loretta writes in her original Founder's Message as seen on the Vanguard Cancer Foundation website. "As I think back to that moment, I realize just how many people would have accepted that diagnosis and given up. Thankfully, Jake knew better ... the Vanguard Cancer Foundation will be here, empowering patients to take the fight against cancer into their own hands."

Stamos fans immediately took to Twitter to send their condolences to Stamos and his family.

"So sorry for your loss and she will be in your heart forever!!," Instagram user @cat600000 wrote.

Another Instagram user @mrsmparker wrote, "Awful news. She will be with you always now, watching out for you."
