Country singer Jason Aldean is now officially engaged to former "American Idol" contestant Brittany Kerr. According to TMZ, Aldean popped the question during the West Coast leg of his music tour and of course, Kerr said yes!

A love story that started a bit messy after photos of a married Aldean and Kerr surfaced in 2012, has now found its happy ending. Jessica Ussery didn't lose anytime in divorcing her high school sweetheart and then husband, after seeing the pictures of him and Brittany carelessly kissing at a bar on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. Aldean and Ussery have two kids together and had been married for more than ten years at the time of the split.

To propose to his new love, Jason put together a private tour of the San Diego Zoo on Wednesday. With no one around but the animals Jason asked Brittany to marry him. There are no details as to how exactly he proposed but what we do know is that he made it special in his own way. Aldean recently told Billboard magazine that he has no regrets about how he and Brittany got together. Not saying how his ex-wife feels about this all today, he simply claims people need to "get over it."

At least this proves that Kerr wasn't just a fling, she was the real deal to the country singer. She was seen constantly at most of his shows after his divorced and took all of the hits that come with breaking up a marriage. Guess this wasn't the "drunken mistake" that people thought it was at first.
