This device has an excellent camera, high call quality and fits comfortably in your hand. The Fire Phone also comes with a one year free Prime membership. On the other hand, the product is exclusive to AT&T and is highly focused towards selling Amazon products. It has a limited ecosystem and below average battery life.

This smart phone has a good battery life which is even better than many other smart phones in the same range. The Fire Phone also has some highly advanced features like the heart rate monitor and fingerprint scanner. Its water and dust proof design is also great. However, the advancement in design ftrom the S4 is not that great, and it looks quite flimsy. There are software bugs and running more than one application at the same time slows down the device.

The Amazon Fire Phone has a 4.7-inch physical display and 1280x720, 315 ppi resolution. It has a Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.2 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM and non-expandable storage of 32/64 GB. Front camera is 2.1 MP and the rear one is 13 MP. 

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a display size of 5.1 inch along with 1920x1080, 432 ppi resolutions. The device runs on Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5 GHz processor and is supported by 2GB RAM. Apart from 16/32 GB built-in storage, a micro SD slot is also present. The phone has 16MP rear and 2 MP front cameras. 

Talking Points

The Amazon Fire Phone was priced in the same line with the premium mobile devices from Apple and Samsung. However, they had to go on a steep price slash as they had sold only 35,000 units in the first 20 days of launch, with the new iPhone release from Apple already on its way. 

The latest OS update of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is now available and the users may check if they are able to connect to the firmware for the latest releases. 

Price

On introduction the Amazon Fire Phone was priced at $650 same as the Samsung Galaxy S5, but very recently Amazon has reduced the price by $200. 

Conclusion

The Amazon Fire Phone is a decent device, but cannot be yet counted as premium competitor of Galaxy S5. However, now when it is available for a much lower price, it has some strong points in its favour.
