Marvel Avengers 2 'Age of Ultron' Spoilers, Characters & Cast News: 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Star Adrianne Palicki to Join 'Avengers 3' Cast?
If you play a "badass" character on Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," chances are you are in the running to make the transition to "The Avengers" crew.
Case in point, actress Adrianne Palicki who plays Bobbi Morse in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has reportedly referred to her character as "badass" and has revealed that the possibility of her transitioning to "The Avengers" movies has been put on the table and "discussed."
"Palicki will first play the Head of Hydra Security in forthcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. episode 'A Hen in the Wolf House' and told us 'Bobbi Morse is another badass character. She was been working with S.H.I.E.L.D. for a bit. ... She gets along with the team very well,'" IGN reports.
"In the comics, the character of course becomes Mockingbird, marries Hawkeye, and joins up with the Avengers, and Palicki said that the chance to potentially join that big screen team was part of the appeal when she signed up for the role."
Palicki, who is best known for parts on the small screen in "Friday Night Lights" and the failed "Wonder Woman" pilot and on the big screen in "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," pointed out in an earlier interview that the role was open-ended.
"Absolutely -- that was one of the things that was discussed when I was coming on for the part, and you know, we'll see what happens," she said. "It's such a nice world that we live in that crossover can happen so often now which in the past it never really did so, to see these worlds come together on the small screen and the big screen is really cool."
Should Palicki make the move? It would be silly not to! It would be a smart career move!
"Based on Marvel's fictional government organization, S.H.I.E.L.D. It shows that not all heroes have to be super," TV.com reported. "Agent Phil Coulson ('The Avengers') recruits a new team to go into the field and handle any cases involving the strange and the bizarre. Accompanying him are solo field agent Grant Ward, field agent turned desk jockey Melinda May, and British scientists Leo Fitz and Gemma Simmons. Coulson soon recruits a civilian computer hacker known only as Skye, a mystery woman with an unknown past."
