Sony Xperia Z2 Review: Price, Specs, Pros and Cons
Here's our breakdown of everything you need to know about the Sony Xperia Z2:
Pros
The Sony Xperia Z2 has come up with quite a robust body with a stylish finish. The camera is full of the latest features like a 1/2.3'' sensor size, geo-tagging, as well as face detection. The battery life is also quite good and the screen resolution had always been one of the Xperia series' stronger traits.
Cons
As much as it gives the phone a royal look, the Bezel-studded design makes the screen view extremely uncomfortable. The slabs on the glass in the front and back attract dust and fingerprints despite its attractive look. The phone also has the tendency to be slow at times.
Specs:
The 5.2-inch screen of the Sony Xperia Z2 with a 1080x1920 pixel display has a 10-finger multi-touch feature. The internal memory is 16GB with 3GB RAM. The microSD slot supports up to 128GB. The battery with backup provides up to15 hours in 3G talk time. The impeccably-featured rear camera is 20.7MP, and the front camera is 2.2MP. It supports all 2G, 3G and 4G networks. The OS is Android Kitkat and the CPU is Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400. The GPU support is provided by Adreno 330.
Talking Points:
XPeria had a hard time releasing the Z2 by its scheduled April date, which was planned to give the device an edge over rivals Samsung and HTC before they release their respective Galaxy S5 and One M8. However, that plan failed and both Samsung and HTC used this opportunity to boost sales.
Price: The price tag of $600 is not extraordinary for a flagship device.
Conclusion:
The Sony XPeria Z2 is really good in terms of look and feel, and its apps and accessories are also impeccable. But if in terms of the overall experience, it's not worth it.
