NASCAR star Danica Patrick will join singer Trace Adkins as a co-host of the fourth-annual American Country Awards December 10th.

It won't be Patrick's first stint in the world of country music. She appeared in a music video last year with country star Miranda Lambert.

Adkins made a comment saying he hopes to be able to keep up with the racing "superstar," as he called her.

"I'm so excited to host the American Country Awards with Trace Adkins," Patrick said in a statement. "I have no doubt [Adkins] will be able to keep up with me. I've become a huge fan of country music since I came to NASCAR ... This is going to be a really cool experience and I'm excited to be a part of it."

"I have [the] boots and hats to prove how country I am too..... Y'all," Patrick said in a tweet.

Patrick is in her second full season of NASCAR competition after spending from 2005 to 2011 in the IndyCar Series. Her third place finish in the 2009 Indy 500 marked the best finish ever by a woman in the race. Before her time in the IndyCar series, Patrick started off with kart racing before making the move to Formula Ford in the United Kingdom.

Patrick is often seen on television commercials; she has been on ESPN commercials as well as Go Daddy commercials and a variety of others. Two of the Go Daddy commercials she was featured in were aired during Super Bowl XLIII.
