Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison last Thursday, and the reality star has broken her silence on the sentence.

She and Joe Giudice, who were accused of 41 counts of federal fraud, such as lying while going through the process of bankruptcy, were on "Watch What Happens Live," which is hosted by Andy Cohen, notes ABC. The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple spoke to Cohen the day after the sentence.

Teresa explained that she was nervous before the ruling was handed down.

"I was shaking," she said. "At one point, I couldn't even move my fingers. They were stuck. I couldn't open my hands ... my nerves were shot, I've had sleepless nights."

The full interview will be released on Monday at 9 p.m. ET.

Joe was also sentenced, but he will be serving almost four years.

Teresa, who was shocked about the sentence, said it was unexpected and that it's taught her to be less trusting.

"I need to learn to do things for myself," she said. "Like I do need to read things before I sign them. I do need to understand things before I sign them. I'm a trustworthy person and sometimes, I take what other people say and I just believe them. I trust them."

Teresa also explained that her children were her main priority and that she just wants Joe to be with them all the time.

Former "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Caroline Manzo has also talked about Teresa's sentence.

"I'm blown away by the whole thing," she said. "It's so much bigger than 'Housewives.' It's so much bigger than Bravo. The only thing I can think of is their kids and just God bless those kids."

Manzo was asked about a 2009 incident where Joe asked if anyone had been indicted for being on the show, but Manzo said that she can't and won't judge them. She explained that she had no idea what actually happened, and her focus was more on the children.
