4Chan Nude Photo Leak: Jennifer Lawrence Speaks Out, Says Leaked Photos Are a 'Sex Crime'
Jennifer Lawrence was one of the biggest targets of the nude photo hack of celebrity photos.
Lawrence continued to have her pictures, which were stolen off of her iCloud account, leaked. And the actress has finally talked about it for the first time. She is on the cover of Vanity Fair, and she explained that she didn't know if the leak would hurt her career.
But she also stood up for herself.
"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this," she said. "It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world."
Lawrence also admitted that she was hurt. She cried and was angry. She also started writing a letter of apology, but she didn't have anything to apologize for.
"I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years," she said. "It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he's going to look at you."
Lawrence also explains that the language that is being used is not OK. What happened to her is not "scandal. It is a sex crime."
Lawrence said the laws need to be changed because people are profiting from her being sexually exploited.
She also said that anyone who looks at the images are "perpetuating a sexual offense." This includes people she knows.
The "Hunger Games" actress also explained that she had to break the news to her dad.
"When I have to make that phone call to my dad and tell him what's happened ... I don't care how much money I get for 'The Hunger Games,'" she said. "I promise you, anybody given the choice of that kind of money or having to make a phone call to tell your dad that has happened, it's not worth it."
Lawrence says she is no longer crying, and that she's not going to tie her happiness to whether or not those who stole her pictures are caught.
