Nicki Minaj and her longtime significant other Safaree Samuels are reportedly no longer together.

Although the Trinidadian emcee never officially confirmed her romance with Samuels, who is also known as "Scaff Beezy," she apparently ended her relationship of 14 years with him because he wanted to pursue a rap career of his own, "getting sick of being in the background."

However, a source revealed to TMZ that Minaj disagreed and wanted to keep the pair's current "arrangement": Samuels to serve as her personal assistant, backup singer and hype man.

Also, the "Anaconda" rapper's former boyfriend is the executive producer for her sophomore studio album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," as well as an A&R for her debut.

Things got "increasingly hostile," when Samuels decided to skip one of Minaj's recent shows and left her hanging without a hype man - which eventually led to the couple's breakup.

TMZ then pointed out that Safaree Samuels had several tattoos of Nicki Minaj's face across his chest covered up with other inks, pretty much confirming their split.

Back in March, the two sparked engagement rumors, as they were spotted wearing matching diamond rings on vacation (Instagram).

In addition, Minaj somewhat hinted her on-the-down-low relationship with Samuels, while promoting her latest single "Anaconda" in August. She was asked whether she was a "size queen." "I don't have a lot of people to compare it to," she admitted.

When the Hot 97 host joked that it is because she had been in a relationship for over a decade, she tried to avoid the topic by saying, "Shut up Ebro and mind your business."
