One of the things telenovelas do very well are the theme songs.
Now, perhaps it's because audiences listen to these songs for months at a time, but they are usually catchy and you will probably find yourself singing along to them all the time.
Here are the six best telenovela theme songs of all time.
1. "El Perdedor" by Enrique Iglesias and Marco Antonio Solis
This ballad was the perfect choice for "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó," as the show was serious. And it was bound to be a hit as it got superstars Iglesias and Solis, and the best part of the song is that it's not too tied to the telenovela. You can easily add it to your playlist and enjoy it at any point.
2. "Hoy Tengo Ganas De Tu" by Alejandro Fernández and Christina Aguilera
Aguilera and Fernández teamed up for the "La Tempestad" theme song, and though Aguilera is not fluent in Spanish, it's undeniable that she's one of the best artists of her generation. The song is perfectly dramatic for both Aguilera and Fernández.
3. "Dos Mujeres, Un Camino" by Laura Leon
The song, the video and even the lyrics are totally cheesy, but Laura Leon's song for "Dos Mujeres, Un Camino" is also fun. It will make you want to dance.
4. "Maria La Del Barrio" by Thalia
"Maria La Del Barrio" is one of Thalia's most iconic telenovelas, and the song is just as good. It would even work on a telenovela today, and be just as well beloved.
5. "La Usurpadora" by Pandora
It's very common for songs to start off slowly, and Pandora's "La Usurpadora," for the novela of the same name, does that. But it really excels, and when it gets to the chorus, it really becomes unforgettable.
6. "Esa Hembra Es Mala" by Gloria Trevi
Gloria Trevi sang the song for "Teresa," and it has the exact dark feeling that Teresa's character. Somehow, it gets even better as it goes along.
