Eighty-nine fans had their wish come true in late September when they were invited to a secret listening party with their idol Taylor Swift in the singer's Tribeca loft, reports the New York Post.

Swift decided to bring together a select group of "Swifties" -- what her fanatics are called -- to hear her new album, "1989," being released this week, and this wasn't the first time. The secret sessions have been going on in Swift's homes across the nation and in London.

On Oct. 3, the 89 fans -- the number a whimsical nod to the album's title -- gathered at the Soho Holiday Inn where they were instructed to notify the concierge they were with the "Crescent Moon Group."

Fans were asked to sign a confidentiality agreement, checked for wires, and had their phones and electronic devices confiscated before boarding a bus to Swift's apartment.

There were "rules" for the evening:

  •  Be respectful of Swift's space
  •  Stay on the first floor
  •  Don't reveal anything about the songs

The surprises kept coming: when the group arrived outside the Tribeca apartment building, Victoria's Secret supermodel Karlie Kloss was at the door waiting to go inside!

Fans climbed the stairs to the top floor of the Tribeca building where they entered Swift's apartment, which is reportedly decorated with beautiful antiques, a grand piano, books displayed in birdcages, Le Labo candles, and two pet cats.

1. Snacking on pizza bites, sliders and sushi.

2. A tour of the first floor of Swift's loft.

3. Petting Swift's Instagram-famous cat, Meredith, and her new cat, Olivia.

4. Meeting Swift's friend Kloss.

5. Convening in Swift's living room to listen to the new "1989" album.

6. Watching Swift dance and lip-synch in her chair.

7. Singing along to the album's catchy choruses.

8. Savoring homemade chocolate and coconut cookies and chocolate-covered heart-shaped Rice Krispies treats during an intermission.

9. Dancing to the hit song "Shake It Off."

10. Having a Polaroid taken with Swift.

11. Meeting the Grammy award winner's parents and publicist.

Best of all, the fans received free swag from Swift, including a copy of the album, t-shirts and a special keychain labeled "1989 Listening Session, New York, NY."
