The Big Show kicked off the Halloween edition of WWE Friday Night Smackdown with a bit of bad news for the WWE Universe, informing them that former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan will be out of action for longer than expected. Bryan will soon undergo another elbow surgery keeping him out of action for an even longer extended period of time.

Nikki Bella won the Divas Halloween Costume Battle Royal that involved all the divas on the main roster except Nikki's sister, Brie Bella. During the match, Paige taunted Summer Rae by dressing like her while Nikki Bella mouthed off to the WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee, who was doing commentary, after winning the battle royal.

Kane defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match. Due to the champion's interest in joining Team Cena for his Survivor Series tag match against The Authority, Seth Rollins came down the ring with his stooges -- Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble -- to beat down Ziggler, sending a message to anyone in the locker room that wants to join Team Cena.

Once The Authority were done with their assault, the champion was ordered into a match with Rollins, who quickly disposed of Ziggler to easily earn the victory.

Ryback beat Heath Slater, who was dressed as a scarecrow, in a squash match.

"MizTV" was up next, with The Miz and Damien Mizdow hosting Mark Henry as their guest. Henry, who turned on his tag team partner, The Big Show, during their WWE Tag Team title bout against Stardust and Goldust on Monday, completely trashed his former "World's Strongest Tag Team" partner before The Big Show came down the ring to handle his business. The two behemoths ended up brawling with "The World's Strongest Man" sending The Big Show crashing through a barrier.

Los Matadores defeated the WWE World Tag Team Stardust and Goldust in a non-title match.

Rusev managed to beat The Great Khali with The Accolade. After the match, Lana said that Rusev was going after Sheamus' WWE United States Championship to prove their Russian superiority.

In the main event, Dean Ambrose battled Cesaro -- whom he beat down prior to the start of their bout on Monday Night Raw to take time out to address his issues with Bray Wyatt -- in a Trick or Street Fight match. "The Lunatic Fringe" managed to smash pumpkins over Cesaro's head before putting him away for the victory to end the show.
