Melissa Joan Hart opens up about her drug use in her memoirs "Melissa Explains it All," which will be in bookstores at the end of the month.

Hart revels her drug abuse hell, which was kept secret. She mentioned Paris Hilton offered her cocaine at a party once Hilton's publicist stated the actress has misremembered the incident.

Hart talked about the dark moments in the book to Life & Style magazine and said, "I experimented with weed, Ecstasy, mushrooms and mescaline for about a year and a half. I was kind of running with a bad crowd. I just didn't enjoy taking drugs. I don't like the loss of control." The drug use never turned into an addiction for Hart though.

She said she took Ecstasy in 1999 at the Playboy Mansion and made out with an unknown woman. This occurred during the eve of her Maxim magazine cover shoot. She knew she went too far at that point.

What is set to shock readers is that a party at Hilton's home Hart was offered cocaine. But Hilton will not be the only celebrity who will be upset with Hart over the things she reveals in her book. Hart also speaks about past flings with Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter and Jerry O'Connell. She says Ashton Kutcher was kicked out of two of her house parties for being a wise guy.  "Ashton and I just didn't get along/," said Hart.

Hart's life is less scandalous these days. After her marriage she has had three sons with her husband.
