We've heard of movie titles with a video game tie-in, but only a few video games have made the leap to the big screen - one of which is Need For Speed.

Need For Speed has been one of the most successful video game franchises since its release in 1994. The game published by Electronic Arts (EA) has made the successful transition into almost all video game consoles and formats - from all Sony PlayStation versions, the Microsoft Xbox versions, Nintendo handheld and console platforms, Windows, Apple OS and even mobile platforms. Now, it is making a leap into cinemas, and all fans are eager to see how the film version will differ.

Slated for a March 2014 release, the movie will star Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul as Toby Marshall. NFS the movie will revolve around Marshall who was framed a crime he didn't commit. Wanting revenge, he joins a cross country race to make his enemies pay.

The first trailer of the film was released yesterday much to the delight of eager NFS, Aaron Paul and even Breaking Bad fans. Watch the first trailer below:

"They took everything from me...I did not fear for you are with me...All those who defied me shall be ashamed and disgraced...Those who wage war against me shall perish...I will find strength, find guidance, and I will triumph," Paul says in the trailer, which posts a dark and revengeful tone for the film.

Notably, the movie trailer shows clips and shots that are almost identical with those of the video game version - zigzag courses, smashing cars and the beautiful vehicles lining up before the start of the race.

The Touchstone and Dreamworks film will be directed by Scott Waugh (Act of Valor). For more details on Need For Speed the movie, you may visit www.needforspeed.com/movie.
