After teasing fans for weeks, Ariana Grande finally released the music video for the third single "Love Me Harder" featuring The Weekend off her sophomore studio album "My Everything" on Monday.

Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the cinematic visual was shot in mid-October. It opens with dramatic lightning in a sky full of orange clouds. Sporting a tiny black leather crop top and a matching black lacy skirt, Grande is seen writhing around in desert sand, a pool of water and a room full of antique furniture at an abandoned mansion.

In a behind-the-scenes clip that she released last week, the pop star explained the sultry video choreographed by Jennifer Lopez's ex Beau "Casper" Smart. "I'm laying down in every music video ever," she said. "I have not ever done a music video where I haven't laid down."

While alternating verses with Grande, the Canadian R&B singer, dressed in all black, is also seen wandering in the corridor below and standing alone in an empty room. Towards the end of the music video, the duo croons back-to-back against a staircase.

Moreover, the sand and water were used to seemingly symbolize what one would withstand and do for love. The director previously discussed the intense visual for the R&B track produced by Max Martin. "Our visuals are really about this tug of war of just loving harder and the compromising of giving in and needing more and wanting more," she said.

Meanwhile, Grande took to her Instagram account on the same day to post a photo of her and Big Sean. "on our way to grandps' celebration of life earlier," she wrote the following caption. Her current boyfriend then reposted the same photo, captioning: "repost: my baby @arianagrande."
