During his recent interview, Chris Brown revealed his opinion on why ex-girlfriend Rihanna started dating Drake.

Brown stopped by New York City's hip-hop and R&B radio station HOT 97 on Oct. 31 to promote his successfully released sixth studio album "X." When host Laura Stylez asked him whether he thinks that RiRi dated Drizzy just to hurt him, Breezy responded:

"She's gonna be mad if I say it, but in a way, I do [think Rihanna dated Drake to get back at me]. Yeah, a little bit. It's understandable. It's the game. We're young. Relationships... We do that at that age."

However, according to Hollywood Life, the Barbadian singer dated the Toronto emcee for other reasons as well - for the way he treated her, unlike the "Loyal" hitmaker did. "She would never say that [she date Drake just to annoy Chris], and it's probably a little bit of both," a source said.

"Drake's sexy. He's smooth," the source continued. "He was much more of a man than Chris and he talked to her and treated her like she was the only one who mattered. She would have been crazy not to see what he was about."

However, the source then claimed that Rihanna "could have fooled around with someone outside of the music industry," because she knew that the former love rivals "at the time weren't cool most of the time, so she knew what she was doing and didn't care."

The source also pointed out how the "New Flame" crooner cheated on Rihanna with his current girlfriend. "Chris Brown broke her heart and stomped on it when he brought Karrueche [Tran] in the picture," the source added. "She couldn't understand why he made her compete with another girl. Like, she's Rihanna. She could have any dude."
