"Talk a Good Game" singer Kelly Rowland gave birth to her first child with husband Tim Witherspoon on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

"We are thrilled to announce that today we are the proud parents of our first son, Titan Jewell Weatherspoon," the ecstatic new mother told People magazine. "Titan was born at 1:30 pm [PT] and weighed 7.5 lbs. We are blessed to report everyone is healthy and happy!"

During her pregnancy, the Destiny's Child alum, 33, posted many photos to social media. She confirmed in July that she was expecting a son.

Titan Jewell is a big name for a little baby, and so people wondered where the unique name originated.

"The dad picked out the name. It has to do with family," Rowland told the press while at the VMAs in August, according to People.

One month before her bundle of joy's arrival, Rowland talked about motherhood with Elle.

"I'm excited to bring a child into the world, and sharing that experience with my husband is probably the most beautiful part," she told the magazine in a Q & A feature accompanying her nude maternity photo shoot.

The new mother has no qualms about caring for both Titan Jewell and her husband.

"When the baby gets here, it's not just one baby. I have two babies now. My husband and the baby -- you have to take care of both," she quipped to People in September.

The newborn son is a joyful addition to the couple's already happy life. Their relationship started with a strong friendship, according to Rowland, who announced her engagement to manager and boyfriend of four years on "The Queen Latifah Show" in December 2013.

"I got my best friend to ride through life with. He really is my best friend," Rowland said.

Witherspoon proposed to Rowland on Skype during a late night call while the singer was in Bulgaria. He followed up the proposal by giving Rowland a beautiful cushion-cut engagement ring with a halo encircling the center stone.

In May, Rowland and Witherspoon married at a private ceremony in Costa Rica.
