'The Sims 4' Cheats: New Viral Video Introduces Morbid Way to Create Simocide, Kill Dozens [Watch]
"The Sims 4," the latest installment in EA Maxis' life-simulation video games, has proved to be just as successful as its predecessors and thus continues the proud tradition of the series' 2000 original.
One thing that is just as true in the game as it is in real life is that people (or players) sometimes have a taste for the downright grotesque.
That must be the reason behind the success of a viral Youtube video that will teach you how to make your Sims walk on water -- and swim on land (hint: teleport the pool). It gets a bit morbid, when the player commits mass "simocide" by killing off a dozen Sims by exhaustion -- as they "swim" in the dry, mind you.
The video's maker, who goes by "PrettyGrumpyBearGame," "is back with her questionable experiments in The Sims 4," Kotaku blogger Patricia Hernandez judges. Consequently, she "wouldn't blame anyone for being a little afraid of Sims players, given the sorts of ... things we'll do in the game."
Grumpy's teleporting trick, meanwhile, only works by employing a cheat, of which there are many in "The Sims 4," (though some are a bit more lighthearted and useful).

The way to get around the game's rules is straightforward: Hold down the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "C" keys, and you will be prompted to type in a magic command.
GameFAQs provides a fairly exhaustive list of all the possibilities, but here are some highlights:
-
Time to celebrate a birthday, wedding or your Sim being able to walk on water? Then let's have a party. The command "soak.create_soak_party_situation" makes sure your social engagement is a success.
-
Need a makeover that doesn't involve magic tricks? With "cas.fulleditmode," you will get to edit your Sim even mid-game.
-
Still upset about Grumpy's morbid stunt? Is death not something you want to deal with in a game? There's a command for that, too: "Death.toggle" removes the Grim Reaper from "The Sims" altogether.
