Elizabeth Gutierrez 'Que to Perdone Dios' Role: Actress Won't Be Returning to Telenovelas As a Villain
Elizabeth Gutierrez's short trip to Mexico did not end with her landing a role in an upcoming telenovela.
The actress and host was in talks to take on the role of the villain on the upcoming telenovela, "Que te Perdone Dios." Now, it's been reported that Sabine Moussier has instead signed on as the villain, according to TV y Novelas.
"I already said yes, so I am well attached," she said. "Hopefully, people don't become too bored of me... I promise new things, different things and hopefully you like it. I always do things from the heart."
Moussier will be starring alongside Zuria Vega and Mark Tacher, the protagonists of the Angelli Nesma telenovela.
Moussier was last in "La Malquerida." The telenovela is still airing in the United States, but it recently wrapped up in Mexico. Moussier has starred in almost one telenovela per year since 2005.
Her 2012 "Abismo de Pasion' character, Carmina de Castañón, was one of her favorites.
"I'm happy. It's a great project," she said. "I thought it would be difficult to find a character that was as strong as Carmina in 'Abismo de Pasion,' and it seems this one is saying 'step aside I've arrived.' Plus it's going to be a pleasure to work with Rebeca Jones and Sergio Goyri. We're going to have a love triangle."
At the time that Gutierrez explained that she was possibly looking to get back into telenovelas, she also explained that it would not be an easy process for her. Gutierrez has taken a few years off from work to spend time with her two young children.
"I still have no idea what I am going to do because work is work, and family is always priority," she said. "So we'll have to see how we can make it work."
