Marvel has released a new extended trailer to "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" showcasing new footage from the film.

A week ago, Marvel revealed the first trailer. Now Marvel has brought out another one to raise more anticipation for the film.

The new trailer begins with the voice of Ultron played by James Spader. In a voiceover, he says, "I'm going to show you something beautiful. The whole world screaming for mercy." The lines are almost reminiscent of the Joker and the trailers Warner Bros. released back in 2008 when "The Dark Knight" was released. At the end of the trailer, Ultron ends his voiceover, saying, "But now I'm free," and comes into the screen saying, "there are no strings on me."

From the looks of the villain, it seems like Ultron comes from one of the many Iron Man suits that Tony Stark created in "Iron Man 3"

Aside from the new voiceover and new image, the extended trailer features a number of battle sequences, explosions and shots of all the Avengers. The Hulk seems to be troubled in this movie and Thor and Tony Stark seem to continue to have their differences. In one shot, Thor attacks Tony Stark.

The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are also seen in the trailer and it seems like that they will be villains at the beginning but then go to the Avengers' side.

Black Widow and Hawkeye seem like they will have bigger roles in the film from the number shots that they appear in. Captain America is also shown in the trailer but at the end of it, it seems like his Shield is broken. This could be foreshadowing how the film will end.

The trailer shows darker images and perhaps Marvel is aiming to make this film the low point for the super heroes before saving the world in the final installments, which are scheduled for 2018 and 2019.

"The Avengers," which came out in 2012, became one of the highest grossing films ever and it broke the opening box office record. The film grossed $207 million on opening weekend and went on to gross $623 million domestically. The movie also went on to gross $1.5 billion worldwide. It was critically acclaimed and nominated for one Academy Award. Marvel hopes to attain the same success with the new film and even break another box office record.

"The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" tells the story of Tony Stark, who tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program. However, things go awry and the Avengers must reunite to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans.

The new film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson, Hayley Atwell, Andy Serkis, Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Renner, Idris Elba, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgard and Paul Bettany. The film is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2015 in 3D.
