New York City will get a visit from the royal family of Great Britain next month.

Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, are scheduled to tour the Big Apple from Dec. 7 to 9, reports CNN.

According to an announcement made by the Kensington Palace on Friday, the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge, who are expecting their second child, will stop by the National September 11 Memorial and Museum in lower Manhattan during their trip.

The couple will also pay a visit to an inner-city youth organization that promotes "positive youth development and social learning," along with an arts-in-education program, according to a statement from Clarence House.

In addition, the couple will attend a Brooklyn Nets basketball game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to promote cooperation between the NBA, the Royal Foundation, and the United For Wildlife consortium, reads the statement.

Their final tour stop will be a visit to a gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, which will commemorate the 600th anniversary of Scotland's University of St. Andrews.

Kate is also scheduled to visit to a local child development center with the wife of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Chirlane McCray, reports Reuters.

In the meantime, William will travel to Washington, D.C. to attend an anti-corruption conference on the smuggling of wildlife parts and the illegal ivory trade.

However, their first-born son, baby Prince George, will not accompany the couple on their first trip to New York.

The last time the couple came to the United States was in 2011, when they spent three days in Southern California doing commerce and charity work. They also watch a polo competition.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's second baby is rumored to be a girl and is due in April. Kate has canceled several public appearances as a result of morning sickness from her pregnancy.
