Selena Gomez & Justin Bieber Zone & Breakup 2014: Why Did 'Come and Get It' Singer Go to Dinner with David Henrie?
Following her recent split from Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez was spotted on a dinner date with David Henrie over the weekend. Was she trying to make her on-and-off boyfriend jealous?
Gomez met up with her "Wizards of Waverly Place" co-star at Il Cielo in Los Angeles on Nov. 15 and ended her evening by belting out to Carrie Underwood's new single "Something in the Water" with him, while riding home together. She took to her Instagram account to post a video of them singing together:
According to Hollywood Life, the "My Heart Wants What It Wants" singer's date with Henrie was nothing but a strategy to get Bieber's attention, knowing that he would get jealous as usual.
"Selena could have kept this dinner quiet, but she wanted Justin to know about it," a source said. "She knows Justin is always jealous when she hangs out with David, and she knows it gets to him."
Gomez apparently planned the night out because she still has not moved on from the Canadian pop star.
"She's just friends with David but Justin thinks they hook-up, so she's trying to mess with his head," the source said. "She went somewhere she knew she'd get photographed, and she put a video on Instagram. That was all for Justin, she's not over him."
Another source claimed that Selena Gomez simply "wanted to go out and have a night with someone, who wouldn't cause any stress or drama," unlike Justin Bieber, also insisting that she has nothing romantic going on with David Henrie.
"She misses her 'Wizards' family, and she wanted to just get some time in with David, who she hasn't seen in awhile," the source said. "It was not romantic at all.
"They were talking the whole time. They were very comfortable with each other, but no one in the restaurant had any idea who he was. Many people assumed he was her handler," the source said. "There was no sign of PDA or romantic attractiveness at all. It was almost like a business meeting. This wasn't a date at all."
